Riffer 3.0 is a smart MIDI tool that generates random Riffs for your Sounds, Software & Hardware. Designed to feed anything that accepts MIDI signal, Software & Hardware, you can choose from 50+ scales, choose pattern complexity, steps, start and end points, set pitch, transpose, motion, measures, and much more to serve as inspiration for your musical masterpieces.

You can generate fresh ideas, sequences, melodies, riffs and musical patterns. Turn them into something of your own or let the software run endlessly using the infinity mode. Once done, Export the MIDI using Drag and Drop, Or when using the app version, you can send MIDI over Wi-Fi, or select CoreMIDI for inter-app communication and to feed any compatible hardware.

Disclaimer: I doubt I'm the intended user for this tool. I enjoy creating my own melodies/harmonies. In limited situations this saves me time when I want to randomly trigger *** over many octaves; however, in most situations I find the random melodies less appealing than deliberately-created sequences and rhythms, and I end up spending several minutes tweaking parameters in Riffer when I should just be playing/editing *** manually.

The first really decent sequencer that generates some great random musical phrases, i also use it to create grooves and drum patterns. A must have for every DAW.

It does what is suppose to do and it's a unique vst... nice.
