
SWAM Trombones - Solo Brass
This collection is comprised of five types of trombones: Double Bass Trombone, Bass Trombone, Tenor Bass Trombone, Tenor Trombone and Alto Trombone.
Physical Modeling allows all articulations typical of Trombones to be reproduced in real time, by acting on its main physical elements such as pipe length, breath pressure, and lip tension.
Independent control of the slide allows soft glissando’s as well as ones with typical overtone triggers. Regardless, you can always choose between Slide or Valve mode.
SWAM-B: Synchronous Waves Acoustic Modeling - Brass
Differently from SWAM-W, sound in SWAM-B virtual instruments is generated by pure Physical Modeling, so there are no samples at all.
Audio Modeling have performed an in-depth study of the Physical Modeling techniques, especially the Digital Waveguides Synthesis by Prof. Julius O. Smith. By using this technique, adding new elements, and performing an unceasing fine-tuning, they have built the best modeled Brass virtual instruments on the market. SWAM-B allows the real-time control of mute distance, vibrato, shake, portamento, including the possibility to select valve or slide in any instrument, add pedal notes (with an addition valve) and control the valve or slide transitions.
