One Stage, Four Continents

Take a rhythmic journey around the world with Synchron World Percussion II. This second Collection brings together 20 distinctive percussion instruments from four continents – from Cuban batá drums and Brazilian berimbau to Indian mridangam, Iranian dammam and Irish bodhrán.

While the first Collection focused on regional ensembles, this volume presents each instrument individually. The result is a versatile selection of unique percussion sounds that can easily be integrated into a wide range of arrangements.

The Atmosphere of a Large Scoring Stage

All instruments were recorded on the large Stage A of Vienna Synchron Stage, allowing them to blend seamlessly with other libraries captured in the same space. The Close, Classic and Ambient mixer presets let you shape the amount of room sound, while the drier Ensemble presets place the instruments more directly in the foreground.

Three close microphone positions provide precise control over the sound, while additional surround and high-surround signals add depth to stereo mixes or support fully immersive productions.

Masters of Rhythm

For Synchron World Percussion II, the Vienna Synchron Stage team brought together experienced percussionists from a variety of musical traditions: Ibou Ba from Senegal, Hamidreza Ojaghi from the Kurdish region of Iran, Sasa Nikolic from Croatia, Emma Frauenholz and Marnix Veenenbos from Austria, and Felix Morgenstern from Germany. Each performer contributes authentic playing techniques and a strong connection to the musical tradition of their instrument.

Authentic Grooves as MIDI Loops

As with the first Collection, the recordings go beyond individual hits. The musicians also performed characteristic grooves and rhythms rooted in the musical traditions of their instruments.

The MIDI loops can be previewed directly in the Synchron Player's MIDI Loop Player and then dragged into your DAW. Tempo, dynamics, length and arrangement remain fully editable.
