Obsession delivers the power of a great polyphonic vintage synthesizer to your fingertips. It combines the precise modeling of voltage-controlled oscillators (VCOs), voltage-controlled filter (VCF) and voltage-controlled amplifier (VCA) with a comprehensive individual voice control that has never been done before in such a great detail.

Very deep, realistic emulation

Obsession is a stunning imitation of a vintage synthesizer. Beginning with the traditional synth design with two oscillators, a switchable two/four pole low-pass filter, two ADSR envelope generators, and two LFOs, all painstakingly modeled from the hardware, all modeled the classic synth framework.

The instrument's versatility is further increased with a thorough modulation matrix, two Step controls for potent rhythmic sequences, and an excellent effect chain. For seasoned sound creators, two parts with Single/Dual/Split modes offer a ton of more space. This powerful plugin is completed by contemporary features as support for multidimensional polyphonic expression (MPE) and Native Kontrol Standard (NKS).

Obsession has a user-friendly, scalable, Retina-ready interface with quick access to all essential settings.

The individual voice control is one of the most important feature of Obsession: Each voice board can differ noticeably from the others in many ways, creating that lively, organic sound quality that analog vintage poly synths are famous for.

For instance, turning the Cutoff Frequency trimpot to the left causes the respective voice to have a lower Cutoff Frequency than average, while turning it to the right causes a greater Cutoff Frequency. Similarly, moving the Amp Release trimpot to the left will result in a slight reduction in the release time for that specific voice, while moving it to the right will result in an extension of the release time. Even more settings from the voice boards of the original hardware, such oscillator and filter scaling, are present in Obsession.

Obsession's back panel provides access to the LFO Steps control, modulation matrix, and high-end effects section.

Pads, leads, and atmospheric are given a new dimension by Mirko Ruta's high-quality reverb, which also has the Shimmer effect added. To further improve the output, a stereo delay and a Chorus/Ensemble effect can be used. The innovative "Organic" knob may imitate temperature-dependent changes, taking the expressiveness and sound quality to a new level.

The potent LFO Steps control in Obsession enables for the creation of rhythmic, tempo-synced modulation of practically every sound parameter, substantially enhancing its modulation capabilities. Any LFO shape can be created with free-hand drawing as well.
