Powerful mixing

Nuendo 14 provides powerful tools for the mixing stage. One of its major highlights is Adaptive Background Attenuation (ABA) by Fraunhofer IIS. ABA enables the automatic balancing of a mix, ensuring that dialogue remains intelligible at all times.

Using the dialogue stem as a reference, ABA automatically attenuates loud background sounds to a minimum margin, which can be defined by the user - ensuring that the foreground sound is always clear. At the same time, full control over the overall mix is maintained, allowing the user to review changes and adjust levels as needed.
