For this reason, they developed SphereQuad as a quick and incredibly adaptable way to give your mixes intricate rhythmic movement, filter sweeps, and stereo madness.

The idea behind SphereQuad is a stereo flanger, phaser, and chorus effect combination that is fed into a stereo filter under the control of an onboard step sequencer. The way these effects are applied, however, is far more intriguing because you can individually adjust the left and right filters to move sound throughout the stereo area. A wide range of interesting effects can be swiftly produced using the flexible routing between the various modules.

The primary properties of the Flanger, Phaser, and Chorus modules can each be altered using a variety of parameters. The modules can be used individually, in various configurations, or blended and routed to provide an interesting effect wall. The 16 step sequencer, which can be programmed to flow fully independently or in rhythm with your track's BPM, regulates the filter cutoff. For the best rhythmic modulation, feed this sequencer the output of the Flanger, Phaser, and Chorus.

With the push of a button, users can create separate left and right channel filters with different shapes, speeds, ranges, and types to make the filtered sound move around the stereo field.

Real-time waveform displays provide visual feedback on the stereo effect of SphereQuad by displaying the influence of the filter cutoff. To increase the odd harmonics and overall output strength, the master output module offers a Dry/Wet adjustment and Saturation dial.

More than 60 presets serve as excellent starting points for your own original ideas. It is simple to locate the descriptive definition of a specific impact because they are logically labeled by instrument group and effect.

W.A. Production been using SphereQuad for a while now and find it incredibly useful for everything from spacey synth leads to making bass lines wobble. They’ve even dialled it in on full mixes to create DJ-style breakdowns with massive filter sweeps and extreme flanging.
