The Interface

The intuitive GUI offers direct access to all important parameters, required to adjust the reverb to your taste. Furthermore all parameters can be entirely automated in real-time – even start and end points. Due to its comprehensive tweaking possibilities, Halls Of Fame 3 exceeds its vintage predecessors.

Alongside other techniques, we mostly recorded in TRUE STEREO HDIR (High Definition Impulse Responses) in 96kHz resolution, 32 bit floating point wave format. High-End “PrismSound” ADA-8XR converters and “StraigtWire” audio cables also contributed to that unmatched and pure, crystal clear quality, to deliver you only the best possible content.

Halls of Fame begeistert mit einem großen Fundus an Impulsantworten edelster Hallgeräte sowie einem ausgezeichneten, hochauflösenden Klang. Dabei erhalten Sie ein vielseitiges Werkzeug mit einer großen Palette bewährter Raumsimulationen für verschiedenste Anwendungen. Auch wenn in Punkto Flexibilität und Bedienkomfort noch etwas Luft nach oben ist, weiß das Plug-In nicht zuletzt angesichts des attraktiven Preises rundum zu überzeugen.

Mit Halls of Fame 3 erhält man als Anwender Zugriff auf den Klang von bis zu 13 Hallgeräteklassikern. Auch wenn sich prinzipbedingt nicht alle Nuancen der Originale einfangen lassen, werden deren Charakter und Eigenheiten in der Nachhallerzeugung authentisch wiedergegeben. Solange man auf die Modulation im Original verzichtet, prägt das Plug-in dem Eingangssignal den spezifischen Klang und Raumeindruck der Vorbilder auf. Dabei ist man durch die große Preset-Fülle ausgesprochen flexibel und findet den passenden Hall für alle Musikstile oder die Postproduktion. Der Preis von 169 Euro für das Rundum-Sorglos-Paket Complete Edition ist dabei als günstig einzustufen.

Conclusion

For the price of one virtual instrument you can get a great collection of vintage and digital reverbs in one box. That’s 1,500 presets, half of them in True Stereo as every preset comes in stereo and true stereo form. Halls of Fame 3 doesn’t sound cheap and it comes with a really good selection of digital and vintage models. It is quite obvious that all impulse responses were captured very professionally with high quality equipment. Trust me, this is a field where many convolution reverbs fail.

Rather than giving you some audio examples, I suggest you to visit the Best Service website and download a free version of Hall of Fame 3 that includes just a few hardware models and presets, but still enough to give you an impression of how it sounds.

Mit der Halls of Fame 3 Software hat Best Service eine interessante Reihe unterschiedlicher Reverbs vorgestellt, welche sich sowohl an den Liebhaber analoger, als auch an die digitaler Reverbs richtet. Einige der in der Software enthaltenen Presets werden nicht nur in Stereo, sondern auch in einer qualitativ hochwertigen True Stero Version bereitgestellt. Somit lässt die Halls of Fame 3 Complete Version kaum Wünsche offen. Die Bedienung ist absolut einfach und klanglich weiß die Software zu überzeugen.
Der Preis von 169,- € ist für den Umfang der Software ebenfalls absolut in Ordnung.
